About the Games

The Second International Paradelphic Games are inclusive competitions of people with disabilities in the field of the highest achievements in art. They will be held from 11 to 17 November 2018 in the city of Izhevsk, the Udmurt Republic.

Games are conducted by the National Paradelphic Committee of Russia and the Government of the Udmurt Republic. The Games are supported as a systematic event by the Foundation for Presidential Grants, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and public organizations of disabled people in Russia and the world.

The Games will be held using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society provided by the Foundation for Presidential Grants.

Paradelphic Games were met with keen interest in our country and abroad. Representatives of an inclusive creative international community have already expressed their desire to participate in the Games. The expected number of Russian and foreign participants is from 1500 to 2000 people.

Creative competitions will be held in 29 nominations in 8 kinds of arts: musical, visual, audio-visual, theatrical, choreographic and circus art; literature (authorial compositions) and sign song.

During the Games there will be a wide variety of large-scale ceremonies of opening and closing of the Games, a gala concert of laureates with participation of pop stars and eminent cultural figures. Such activities as a business program, seminars, master classes, an international conference, music lounges, excursion programs are also included in the event program. Visitors will learn about the work of famous Russian composer Peter Tchaikovsky and familiarize themselves with the presentation of the national culture of the peoples of Russia and other countries.

In most of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation will be held qualifying rounds of the regional stage (until May 15, 2018) among people with disabilities and inclusive collectives - winners of regional all-Russian and international competitions and festivals, supported by local authorities. The formation of teams for participation in the finals of the Games will also take place. In a difficult period of development of the international Olympic and Paralympic movement, Russia is initiating a new international project capable of uniting such a different modern world. Our country is ready for joint creative work without political issues and disagreements. We open an inclusive platform for all people and all countries in the world without any restrictions.
